ships were sailing back to Spain, the other ship was unsuccessful. The
Victoria ship under the command of Juan Sebastian de Elcano was the only
ship left out of the five ships that sailed in the voyage of Magellan, which
successfully arrived in Spain and was the first to circumnavigate the world.

What do you think is the historical significance of this document? (4 points)

In my opinion, this historical document did change our world in so many
ways. This was able to help ships who moved between the Atlantic and
Pacific Ocean with the routes he discovered through his explorations which
was named after Magellan, “The Strait of Magellan”. This had also given
great and memorable history for the Filipinos. The information in the Battle of
Mactan had given Filipinos knowledge on the events that happened that day,
wherein that day we had our first Filipino hero. The document itself is
generally given knowledge of what happened in that part of history and it is
one thing to surely remember.
