I've Been Killing Slimes for 300 Years and Maxed Out My Level
| One of my favorite Light Novels and Isekai is finally getting an anime adaptation! I really recommend it for people that likes a comfy story with slice of life elements, comedy and yuri undertones with some characters. It's pretty much a non-stake Isekai type like the many out there which focus more on the slice of life aspect. And if you want, you can call it Cute girls doing cute things Isekai. And yes, Azusa was reincarnated as an immortal witch and she killed slimes for 300 years until she reached the max level. :P |

| Ede as Raika is perfect! She's freaking adorable! I hope the anime follows not one but combines both of the novel and manga. The novel contains more detail but the manga is better at showing Azusa's easygoing motherly/sister personality. |

| This is the only light novel I've ever liked. There are a few worries I have about the adaptation process. - The studio isn't listed, they might give this the treatment of the average isekai instead of the SLIME or Log Horizon S1 treatment. - They might extend the fights. So far with what I've read, there are 5 fights, 2 of which end before they even start and 2 end in one hit. I don't want them to extend those fights. I can tolerate drawn-out fights against non-sentient creatures, but this isn't that. - They might keep some of the overly direct lines like "family life might not be too bad" or something like that. As long as they follow through with the second point and don't screw things up more than Arifureta (on a technical level), this will definitely be an 8/10. |

The chances that any BNHA or Haikyuu will become real BL are negative, but a huge number of people continue to sincerely believe and argue that their slash ships have potential. What then to say about all-female work? |

SAO isn't an isekai but a VRMMORPG focused series, and it's a great series in the LN for future arcs and on Progressive series. And all of those others you mentioned began on shosetsuka ni narou as a web novel before being acquired and published as light novels. This series is from a male focused LN imprint as well. It's from the same generation as other Isekai from the isekai boom and a narou title. With the difference that it's not about action, it's about slice of life and comedy. |

I'd consider anything with tentacles to be isekai. 2. The famously incorrect "the source material is better" claim. Not even the source material of Arifureta is better than the adaptation. 3. BTW, SAO Abridged is the only good SAO. 4. Looking at their catalogue, they've got everything except my favourite isekai and No Game No Life. 5. I'd say the reason it's not as well-received as the others from the isekai boom is that it doesn't appeal to the flawed standard of action. 6. I will say it kind of frustrated me that there are some lines which characterise it as a really generic CGDCT. It could do with not being an inexplicably female only cast (but not forcing in any romance elements despite that). That's all I can think to say in response. |

None of those series have nothing to do with each other in genres. One is focused on battles and the other is a complete slice of life comedy. And of course, their other relation is that both have slime on the title, which for this LN, the slimes are only for the initial premise of getting into level 99 while the sime on the ohter is literally the main character. |
