2018 Manga Reading Challenge - Sign up

Signing Up

1. Visit the challenge list generator (or back up).
   
   
2. Fill in your information.
   　　-- Start date does not need to be today's date. You can choose to start on Jan 1 and count any manga you began reading after this.
   　　-- Randomize items?
   　　　　Yes — The generator will decide which items will be included on your challenge list. (Only for the brave.)
   　　　　No — You choose which items you would like from each tier. Be sure you have the correct number from each.
   　　-- Note that the difficulty and items selected from each tier can be changed later if you choose to.
   
   
3. Click "Send". You will get a page with a pre-formatted sign-up post.
   　　-- Please keep the numbered list from this generated text. Otherwise you are free to edit the colors to your liking.
   
   
4. Click the button "Select Sign-Up Form", copy, then paste into a reply to this thread.
   　　-- Refresh the page and find your post. Click "Quick Edit" and edit the number of your post (top right) into the post.
   
   
5. (optional) Grab a participant banner from our Banners List and show it off on your profile/forum signature.
   

Completing Challenge Items

1. Begin completing manga challenge items and edit them into your sign-up post. For example:

   [*][color=GRAY][Started: <date>] [Finished: <date>][/color] <##>. <Item Text>: [url=http://mymangalist.net/manga/<id_num>]<manga_title>[/url]

   becomes:
   1. [Started: Jan 1] [Finished: Feb 14] (5) Read an award-winning manga: 3-gatsu no Lion
   <date> is when you started/finished each manga.
   <##>. <Item Text> are taken from the [url=]Challenge List[/url].
   <id_num> is found in the manga entry's URL. <manga_title> is the main title of the entry.
   
   
2. Edit your post to replace the text and angled brackets <text> with your information. Make sure to remove the < > or URLs will not work.
   
   
3. Continue completing challenge items until all numbers within your chosen difficulty are finished. Remember, each manga can only be used once.
   

Turning In

1. Once all your items are completed, verify that all information in your sign-up form is filled in.
   
   
2. Copy and paste the following text into a new reply in this thread.

Google Sheets Spreadsheet (Track Progress)
Hello!
I’m @i_yuuko-chan! As this year challenge the listing came a little bit different, and hopefully simpler, I came up with something just to help those busy souls that cannot deal with the dread work of creating their own spreadsheet to track the progress of their challenges, but need one nevertheless.

I had 02 things in mind while creating it: help you track your progress and generate a BBCode automatically. (Nothing sophisticated like what Conde_Mohr made for us last year, sorry!) So, it’s very simple and all, but I hope it helps you not to worry with such works.

The spreadsheet contains 3 tabs: “Basic Instructions”, “MAL2018_Anime” and “MAL2018_Manga”. Click on the link provided and create a copy by following these steps [ File > Make a copy ].
